Summary
The Graduate Intern for Athletics Administration is a 10-month 35 hour/week position serving to support the work of the Department of Athletics. The Graduate Intern will focus on responsibilities related to the day-to-day Facilities operations within the Department of Athletics, including, but not limited to; facility scheduling, coordinating of fitness memberships, and assistance in fiscal budget and purchasing control of the department. The Graduate Intern will be in compliance with NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations.
Essential Department of Athletics Responsibilities
- Assist the Athletic Department in maintaining the database scheduling of all Athletics Facilities; serving as the central contact within the reservation system.
- Assist the Athletic Department in the management of outside community memberships; including registration, programming, communication, and serve as the general customer service contact.
- Assist the Athletic Department in maintaining fiscal budget control through data-entry of day-to-day expenses; coordinating accounts payable with the Associate Director of Athletics.
- Assist the Athletic Department in recording and delivering monetary deposits in conjunction with University Bursar.
- Coordinate the opening and securing of the Athletic Facility on a day-to-day basis.
- Supervise, train, and schedule a student-workforce of approximately 50 to provide facility monitoring.
- Assist in the purchasing of regular office supplies.
- Collaborate with the Campus Facilities staff in production of maintenance work-orders.
- Attend regularly scheduled Facilities meetings with various groups across campus.
- Participate in Athletic Department staff meetings, functions and other duties as assigned by the Athletics Administration.
- Serve as a member of the Graduate On-Call (GOC) rotation in the event of a college closure.
Supervisory Responsibility
This will provide support and supervision to undergraduate work-study students.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelors degree required, admission to one of Regis Colleges graduate programs.
- Prior experience in a collegiate and/or high school Athletics environment preferred.
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, computer literacy and strong interpersonal skills to work with various college constituencies.
- The ability to work a flexible and irregular schedule.
- Works well as a team member or independently.
- Excels in prioritizing multiple tasks with attention to detail, problem solving and follow-through to consistently meet expectations and deadlines.
- Appropriate certifications in First Aid / CPR and AED are required within an appropriate time of hire and must be completed (per NCAA regulations) before the beginning of the competitive season.
- Must hold a valid drivers license.
- Ability to positively interact with a diverse population and uphold the universitys commitment to inclusive excellence.

Salary & Benefits
- $4,000 stipend (10-month)
- Free room and full meal plan during the 10-month duration and supplemental meal stipends for summer and winter breaks based on work schedule and internship start/end dates
- Tuition remission for two (2) eligible Regis graduate courses/semester, with a maximum of six graduate courses (18 credits) per academic year.
The following campus-based programs are eligible for tuition remission:
- 60 credits of MA in Counseling (24 credits are not covered by tuition remission. The supervised field experience must be completed after the graduate intern role is complete.)
- 33 credits of MS in Regulatory and Clinical Research Management
- 30 credits of MS in Digital Marketing and Communications
- 36 credits of Accelerated MBA program
The following fully online programs qualify for tuition remission on a space-available basis:
- 33 credits of MS in Health Administration
- 42 credits of Master of Public Health (6 credits are not covered by tuition remission)
- 30 credits of Master of Social Work.
Courses in Graduate Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Applied Behavioral Analysis, Speech Language Pathology, and Doctor of Education programs are not eligible for tuition remission.
