Duration: 960 Hours in a fiscal year

Role Overview
Graduate Intern supporting Valley Water's Recycled & Purified Water Unit. The role focuses on assisting pilot projects, research, and technical activities related to reverse osmosis concentrate treatment, recycled water, and potable water reuse initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Collect water/wastewater samples and perform field analysis using instruments
Conduct water quality data collection and analysis
Perform technical reviews and prepare field reports
Support pilot projects and special research studies
Review technical documents and task deliverables
Assist with permitting processes (RO concentrate management and CEQA)
Support potable water reuse outreach and facility tours
Assist with QA/QC processes and database management.
Required Experience
Required:
Currently enrolled student (minimum 9 units) or recent graduate
Availability to work 20–30 hours/week during breaks and at least 20 hours/week during school year
Ability to work in both field and office environments
Valid California driver's license with good driving record
Academic background in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
Preferred:
Exposure to water/wastewater treatment processes
Experience in laboratory or field sampling environments
Familiarity with environmental regulations (e.g., permitting, CEQA)
Prior participation in research or pilot studies (academic or professional)
