Basic Life Support (BLS), Discharge Plans, Health Plan, Healthcare, Medical Records, Nursing, Patient Assessment, Patient Care, Policy Development, Procedure Development, Registered Nurse (RN)
Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Responsibilities:
- Implements and monitors patient care plans.
- Monitors records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Coordinates with all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care under the oversight of the primary RN.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates patients discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Licensure, Certification, Registration:
- Required Credentials:
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Registered Nurse obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required within 6 months of Date of Hire.
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
