As an engineering graduate, you’ll complete two or three rotations designed to give you breadth of experience across your chosen business area while also supporting you to build technical depth. You’ll make an impact across our business as you learn how to safely extract, process and transport resources the world relies on. You’ll also enjoy being part of a global network of people who share your passion for problem solving and invention.

About the role

Our Chemical & Process engineers have the opportunity for hands-on experience working on real projects that deliver tangible benefits and measurable results. You will work alongside our highly qualified professional colleagues. We will give you a sound foundation across the wider engineering field so that you can comfortably specialize in Process Design, Process Safety, Project Development, Operations, Commercial ornumerousLeadershiproles.

Taking on the roleasProcess Engineerat ourCherry PointRefinerymeans designing projects and supervising plant development to ensure the reliability of our refining technologies. Alongside a strong technical degree in Chemical Engineering, that means having a global view for wide-scale projects or a sharp eye for detail to aid in more niche roles in a specific refining process area.

As a Process Engineer atCherry Point, you will:

• Aid our manufacturing and production teams by supervising day-to-day operations, evaluating unit targets & constraints

• Support andoptimizeoperatingprocessplants or facilities and working closely with other areas and disciplines involved in the business

• Directly contribute to ourcompany’sambition towards net zero byoptimizingenergy, improvingsafetyand supporting continued reliability improvement efforts

• Use your chemical engineering foundation and problem-solving ability across the wider refinery to integrate value across the broader bp portfolio

MinimumRequirements

• Working towardbachelor’s degree in chemical engineering

• Graduating between December 2026and May 2027

• Current Cumulative GPA Minimum 3.0

• Eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions(bp will not support U.S. Immigration sponsorship for full-time or long-term employment)

• Must be available to start on agreed upon global programme start dates (January 19, 2027 or June 21, 2027).
