Job Summary

The Graduate Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator supports the recruitment, evaluation, admission, and enrollment of prospective students across masters and doctoral programs.

Department Specific Responsibilities

• Serves as a primary point of contact for prospective applicants and collaborates with faculty, academic departments, and university partners to advance enrollment goals and support student success.
• Manages admissions operations, oversees applicant communications, and coordinates recruitment initiatives and events.
• Serves as the primary contact for visitors, prospective students, and applicants.
• Manages admissions operations and application review workflows.
• Coordinates recruitment events, information sessions, webinars, and graduate fairs.
• Maintains applicant records and communication campaigns in Slate CRM.
• Supports admitted student conversion and enrollment yield initiatives.
• Assists in the development and implement recruitment strategies for masters and doctoral programs.
• Generates reports and dashboards on recruitment and enrollment trends.
• Advises students on admissions requirements and program expectations.
• Coordinates faculty review processes and admissions decisions.
• Interprets and applies university and graduate policies and procedures.
• Assists digital and print marketing materials including presentations and brochures
• Leverages websites, social media, webinars, and virtual events to enhance visibility.
• Creates recruitment resources for faculty, staff, and student ambassadors.
• Develops communication campaigns supporting recruitment and yield.

General Responsibilities

• Oversees the processing and evaluation of all applications for admissions into that school and accompanying material, such as transcripts, to determine eligibility.
• Maintains records and databases of applications; updates and purges as necessary; gathers and collates information from records and prepares reports.
• Reviews applications for completeness, contacts applicants for any missing information or to resolve discrepancies and obtains any necessary information from other sources.
• Schedules and oversees any applicant interviews.
• Makes recommendations regarding admissions and contacts applicant regarding the decision on the admission application.
• Responds to phone and email inquiries on admissions process and status of applications; may assist in the design of recruiting events and materials.
• Educates potential students about program courses.
• May supervise temporary staff in the admissions office; monitors and evaluates job performance.
• Maintains files and databases on students admitted into the school; generates reports based on this information.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED).

Preferred

• Bachelors degree

WORK EXPERIENCE

Required

• 2 years of office work or related experience.

Working Conditions / Demands

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Advertised Salary

Salary Range : $40,000 - $45,000
