    Hospital Linen Distribution Technician – Evening Shift (2 PM – 10:30 PM)

    Position Summary

    The Hospital Linen Distribution Technician supports NOVO Health Services by ensuring the timely, accurate, and hygienic distribution of clean linen throughout assigned hospital units, while safely collecting and returning soiled linen for processing.

    This role is essential to maintain inventory accuracy, infection prevention standards, and patient-care readiness. As a frontline team member, the technician serves as a key point of contact for hospital staff and represents NOVO’s commitment to service excellence, reliability, and quality.

    Key Responsibilities

    Linen Distribution & Collection

    • Deliver clean linen to assigned hospital departments using covered carts
    • Collect soiled linen and transport it safely to designated return areas
    • Always ensure proper handling and separation of clean and soiled linen

    Inventory & Accuracy

    • Verify and document linen quantities prior to distribution
    • Perform routine inventory counts and maintain established PAR levels
    • Identify and communicate shortages, overages, or discrepancies

    Customer Service & Communication

    • Respond promptly and professionally to hospital staff requests and concerns
    • Build strong working relationships with clinical and support teams
    • Escalate service issues, operational concerns, or quality problems to leadership

    Safety & Compliance

    • Follow all infection prevention, safety, and Joint Commission standards
    • Ensure proper use of carts, equipment, and PPE
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

    Administrative & General Support

    • Complete required documentation, logs, and basic data entry
    • Use inventory tracking tools and systems as required
    • Support department operations and perform additional duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Required

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Ability to work evening/night shift (2 PM – 10:30 PM)
    • Strong reliability, punctuality, and work ethic
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment

    Preferred

    • 1–2 years of experience in healthcare, logistics, environmental services, or a similar setting
    • Prior experience with inventory tracking or hospital operations

    Skills & Abilities

    • Strong customer service and communication skills
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently with minimal supervision
    • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
    • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
    • Ability to push/pull carts up to 400 lbs.
    • Ability to safely handle and transport linen materials

    Work Environment

    • Hospital setting with exposure to patient care areas
    • Requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
    • Fast-paced environment requiring adherence to strict safety and cleanliness standards
