About the Role:
At Kalmbach Feeds, Inc. the role of Grain Accounts Payable & Customer Experience Specialist is an engaging position that allows an individual to have a real impact on the company's bottom line. The Kalmbach Feeds Purchasing team requires a strong individual who is capable of relating to all areas of the business including Nutrition, Sales, Marketing, Purchasing and Production. This team member will protect the quality and integrity of our feed by helping to ensure the proper/accurate utilization of materials and resources. On a daily bases, this individual will record all transactions and receipts, proactively reconcile all usage, and challenge areas of discrepancies. Ultimately, the team maximizes productivity by helping to maintain the right materials in the right place at the right time.
Operations Support
Work cross-functionally with procurement, operations, and logistics teams
Assist with documentation, reporting, and general administrative support
Step in to support team needs across departments as priorities shift
Contribute to process improvements and efficiencies
Customer Experience & Support
Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries related to grain payments and settlements.
Provide clear, timely communication to customers and vendors
Help resolve issues related to deliveries, paperwork, or payments
Support a positive, solution-oriented customer experience
Invoicing & Accounts Processing
Process invoices for grain, soybean meal, and related products
Review invoices for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Assist with accounts payable tasks, including invoice entry and payment processing
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate records
Grain Transactions & Settlements
Maintain accurate grain scale tickets and transaction records
Process grain settlements, including verifying contracts, pricing, and quantities
Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of transactions
