    Summary

    As a Grain Crew Leader, you will play a key leadership role in keeping our grain operations running safely, efficiently, and reliably. This hands-on role blends leadership with operational expertise, partnering closely with facility leadership to guide daily activities, support team performance, and uphold the highest standards of safety and quality. You'll be at the center of grain receiving, handling, and storage operations, helping develop and lead a skilled crew while ensuring our facility operates at peak performance every day.

    This position has a target wage of $28.50 - $37.00 per hour, based on shift, experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Overtime may be available.

    Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Assist the facility manager in managing the operations.
    • Ensure working conditions for all associates follow the safety guidelines established by local, state, and federal agencies as well as company policies.
    • Assist the facility manager in coordinating and directing the daily activities of crews and teams that receive, dry, store, and distribute grain.
    • Train and develop team members to perform required operational tasks.
    • Operate grain probe (hand/automated) and grade grain for all factors.
    • Operate grain receiving equipment.
    • Operate grain drying and related equipment.
    • Operate grain transfer and load out equipment.
    • Operate lift truck equipment and perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
    • Perform housekeeping of all elevator areas.
    • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on operational equipment with the grain facility to ensure maximum availability and longevity.
    • Perform other tasks as assigned.

    Minimum Education and Experience

    • High School or equivalent.
    • Minimum 1 year of professional leadership experience.

    Preferred Education and Experience

    • Previous grain operations experience.

    Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

    • Able to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 -150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.), exposure temperatures (0-100) degrees Fahrenheit, humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available).
    • Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus.
    • Required to travel to remote agribusiness facilities and customer locations.
