Martinsville - Grain Transportation Driver

The Grain Transportation Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company trucks while supporting daily grain transportation activities. This role follows all safety and personnel policies, completes required inspections and paperwork, reports equipment concerns promptly, and provides courteous professional service to customers.

Key Responsibilities -------------------

• Follow all established personnel and safety policies and procedures • Operate truck fleet as directed • Completes all required paperwork daily • Responsible for the daily maintenance checks of the truck pre-trip & post-trip • Reports any problems with equipment under their control so maintenance activities may be performed • Helps customers in a prompt, efficient, and courteous manner

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Leadership Characteristics ---------------------------------------------------------

• High School Diploma or equivalent • Good driving record • Illinois commercial drivers license CDL with a Class A License • Excellent Customer Service and communication skills • Demonstrates the ability to interact effectively with management and customers • Self-motivating personality as well as team-building skills

Work Environment ----------------

While performing the duties of the job, the employee works near moving mechanical equipment and in outside weather conditions, including exposure to fumes and airborne particles, grain dust, and vibrations. Occasionally, the employee climbs and works in high places and exposed weather elements. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, climb, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may lift up to 50 pounds.
