Grammar School Teacher Assistant (K-5th): 

General Position Description  

Providence Preparatory Academy is a Christian, Classical, Collaborative-Model School now hiring passionate, professional, and skilled staff. Grammar Level (K-5th grade) Teaching Assistants will be on campus 2 days/week (Tuesday and Thursday). Teaching assistants will be expected to work full days on the on-campus days.  

Responsibilities and Duties  

• Assist with assignment grading and grade input  

• Manage students in the teacher's absence, as well as to and from lunch, recess and enrichment classes.  

• In general, anticipate the needs of your teacher  

• Model Godly character in word and deed to the students  

  

Qualifications and Skills  

The following qualifications are required for any applicant  

• A Christian exhibiting spiritual growth and involvement in his or her local church  

• A love for learning and a passion for inspiring students in similar pursuits  

• Ability to articulate the Gospel  

• Ability to communicate effectively with parents  

The following qualifications are desired for all applicants, but not required  

• Experience with the classical and/or university model of education, classical curricula, and classical languages  

• Proficiency in web-based school management software  

• Proficiency in office software  

Compensation  

Job Type: Part-time  

Pay: $6,000.00 per year
