Grand Lake Physician Practice Registered Nurse (Casual)

 Hours of Job

• Casual employment working as needed based on departmental needs. 
• Poof Staff hours are Monday - Friday. 
• 1st shift hours. No weekends or holidays required.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

• Greets and escorts patients through the medical practice.
• Completes nursing assessments of patient by completing history of present disease and illnesses with accuracy and documents appropriately in patient electronic medical record.
• Collaborates with physicians and other health team members in implementing physician orders.
• Incorporates holistic approach to Patient Centered Medical Home, thus moving beyond problem focused care.
• Implements and documents clinical and technical aspects of care.
• Evaluates patient’s response and understanding to plan of care by using teach back method.
• Openly and appropriately communicates with patient, physicians and other members of health team.
• Serves as a liaison for patient with outside agencies, businesses and providers, establishing a therapeutic relationship with the patient and family.
• Respect patient’s rights to privacy, dignity and confidentiality.
• Maintains positive interpersonal relationships with all internal and external customers.
• Maintains established health system and work area policies and procedures, objectives, guest relations, safety, environmental and infection control guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Clinical skills in delivering patient care in an outpatient setting.
• Obtains and maintains successful completion of BCLS Healthcare Provider Course.
• Communications effectively with physicians, patients and coworkers to maintain respect and a positive work environment.

Education/Certifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of Ohio

Experience

• Previous experience in Physician Practice is preferred, but not required.
