Position SummaryThe Assistant Event Marketing Manager is responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, developing, and managing a team of event marketers to build brand awareness and generate sales leads throughout the local market. The role includes sourcing direct-to-consumer events, managing budgets, resource planning, staff schedules, and ensuring successful event execution.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and drive event-based marketing initiatives to generate sales leads for sales representative follow-up.Identify, schedule, and plan event calendar for a team of event marketers in assigned territory.Responsible for budgeting and staffing for identified local events.Attend trade shows, home shows, fairs, festivals, and community events, and manage event marketing team in generating new sales leads.Assist in distributing event marketing material and equipment set up and tear down.Collaborate with the local Sales Operations and Installation Managers to grow brand presence within the local market.Recruit, hire, train, and develop Event Marketers and create accountability through established goals and KPIs.Assist in the development of timelines, organizational plans, and internal communications for cohesiveness and transparency in local market.Track and report event metrics to evaluate performance and ROI of events.Responsible for exceeding sales lead quotas based on established KPIs.Travel within the assigned territory as needed.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.Experience and Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Experience within event marketing or a related field.Experience in lead generation and/or experiential marketing.Experience with limited/single market budgeting and planning in multiple markets.Knowledge of current best practices and new strategies for event marketing.Ability to work evenings and/or weekends and pre-scheduled events.Experience recruiting, onboarding, and training marketing and show staff.Ability to juggle various work activities and shift attention from one task to another without dropping the ball.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment with a "roll up your sleeves" and "win every day" mentality.Hold oneself accountable and be self‑driven in accomplishing goals.Detail-oriented and focus on the task at hand by finding the most efficient and effective pathway to completion.Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels to communicate with stakeholders articulately.Ability to logically connect ideas, scrutinize and evaluate arguments, find inconsistencies and errors, solve complex problems, and engage in reflection.Provide timely and empathetic service through all communication channels, keeping peer and customer needs first.Must hold a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to perform job duties.Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access).Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (or Canada) without sponsorship for employment visa status.Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or CertificationsPrevious management position in direct-to-consumer marketing.Experience in home improvement event marketing.Travel Requirements25% to 50% domestic travel required.Additional Hours RequirementsAdditional hours may be required for exempt positions.Physical RequirementsNormal office environment and field office or manufacturing/construction environment.Performs indoor work in a climate‑controlled environment and work outside in varying temperatures and climates.Medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.BenefitsIndustry‑best compensation packages.Competitive health, dental, and vision insurance.401k with company match.Paid time off including paid parental leave.Individualized career development programs.Childcare assistance.Employee assistance programs, including legal, financial planning, and counseling.Employee discount marketplace.Employee Resource Groups such as VetConnect, DEI Committee, and Women's Committee.Diversity and Inclusion StatementLeaf Home is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal‑opportunity employer.
