LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Grant Accountant for one our customers located in Midtown Sacramento, CA. This position work schedule is hybrid. The main responsibilities are Non-Profit oriented with a strong understanding of grant accounting, annual close processes (month, quarter, year-end), audit preparation, and assist with additional projects as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for grant revenue recognition, grant billing, and grant compliance
Responsible for month-end close process and preparation of financial reports
Preparation for the external audit
Account reconciliation (bank & balance sheet), prepare and post journal entries
Credit card disbursements and reconciliation
Complete ad-hoc projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
Software experience with a medium to large ERP platform required
Industry experience in a Non-Profit environment is required
Strong knowledge of accounting knowing your debits and credits (journal entries, reconciliations, accrued expenses)
Ability to work effectively in a small team, manage workload, and prioritize tasks
Excellent communications (verbal & written)
Team player, self-starter, quick learner, and meet deadline
Attention to detail, problem-solver, and organized
Experience: 2 years of progressive accountant experience (Grant Accountant, Grant Specialist, Staff Accountant)
