Schedule: 3 days onsite (Tues & Thurs required), 2 days remotePosition SummaryThe Grant Accountant manages a portfolio of grants and contracts, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with funder requirements, and timely billing. This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and submit financial reports and invoices for government and foundation grants.Ensure compliance with all funder and agency requirements.Prepare journal entries and allocations.Respond to funder inquiries and support internal stakeholders.Assist with funder desk audits and maintain accurate financial records.Special Projects (10–20%)Support the Director of Budgets & Grants Management with financial reports and projections.Maintain the administrative contracts database, including running queries and entering data.Perform additional duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business (required).2–3 years of grant accounting experience, including NYC/NY State funders (DFTA, DYCD, OTDA, etc.) (required).Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF functions) and proficiency in Word (required).Strong critical thinking and understanding of budget/contract impact.Experience with PASSPort, Grants Gateway, and OMB Uniform Guidance (preferred).Temp to Perm Pay Rate35.00-40.00 Per Hour 6 Month Temp to Perm#J-18808-Ljbffr
