We are looking for a dedicated writer to help us leverage our decades of success to secure the funding needed for our next chapter of growth.
The Role: As our Grant and Donations Writer, you won't be starting from scratch. You will have access to 26 years of organizational data, success stories, and established community relationships. Your goal is to translate our history of service into compelling proposals that resonate with foundations, corporations, and individual donors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grant Lifecycle Management: Identify, research, and apply for local, state, and federal grants.
- Impact Storytelling: Work with our Group Home Managers and Caregivers to turn daily wins into powerful narratives for donors.
- Annual Giving & Appeals: Draft compelling year-end appeals and donation letters that highlight our 26-year legacy.
- Compliance & Reporting: Manage reporting requirements for existing funders to ensure 100% transparency and renewal success.
- Donor Database Management: Maintain accurate records of historical and prospective contributors.
Qualifications:
- Proven Track Record: At least 2–3 years of successful grant writing for a 501(c)3 organization.
- Technical Skill: Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to align our long-term mission with the specific goals of various grantors.
- Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the Florida/Pinellas County philanthropic landscape is a plus.
