Grant and Fundraising Specialist - Time Limited

JOB SUMMARY

Oversees and evaluates all grant writing and management processes. Researches, analyzes, and forecasts potential funding sources, programs, and community needs to sustain services. Develops, manages, implements, and monitors the Division’s strategic efforts with respect to fundraising and grant writing

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Relations, Marketing, Communication, or a closely related field, plus four (4) years of related experience, OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience

One year of supervisory experience is preferred.

Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Develops, implements, and oversees the Division’s grant and proposal-writing processes.
• Researches funding sources and forecast federal funding.
• May develop recommendations on new service needs based on research and evaluation of programs and changes in customer demographics.
• May supervise staff, which includes hiring, orienting, training, assigning, and reviewing work performance, annual work performance appraisals, and discipline.
• Manages the Division’s planning process to identify unmet needs and researches and develops methodologies to do so.
• Gathers and presents data and information to the State of Utah, County, Division, and Council to prioritize services.

• Assists division leadership in setting and implementing the division fund development strategy.
• Presents demographic and other pertinent information to elected officials, staff, and the public on local and national trends.
• Manages data collection and reporting, including preparing reports and annual plans required by the State of Utah or other entities.
• Prepares reports to assist in the effective management of programs administered by the Division and analyzes national trends for similar organizations.
• Acts as a liaison to or between the community, government entities, and stakeholders.
• Develops and prioritizes all division-wide fundraising projects on an ongoing basis.
• Oversees content management of division fundraising platforms.
• Develops and maintains division plans, including fundraising activities.
• Assists division programs in the development and presentation of fundraising activities.
