Under the general supervision of the Dean of Career Programs, the Grant/Apprenticeship Program Manager (full-time, grant-funded) position is responsible for the financial management, compliance monitoring, and reporting of the College's Perkins Career and Technical Education (CTE) grant.
This position provides technical assistance to internal grant teams in the development, preparation, and submission of Perkins grant applications, reports, and related documentation in support of initiatives that align with institutional strategic priorities. The role ensures adherence to applicable federal and state grant regulations and supports the advancement of competency‑based, work‑based learning initiatives that promote student success. The Grant/Apprenticeship Program Manager reviews, edits, and proofreads grant proposals and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with program requirements. The position supports the College's mission as a learning‑centered institution by contributing to program development activities that enhance access, student persistence, and lifelong learning outcomes.
Additionally, under the general supervision of the Assistant Dean of Corporate, Community and Continuing Education, the Grant/Apprenticeship Program Manager is responsible for the development, registration, and administration of apprenticeship and pre‑apprenticeship programs. This position collaborates with internal academic departments, external employers, and secondary education partners to align apprenticeship pathways with academic curricula, competency‑based education (CBE) frameworks, and workforce needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Serves as the primary contact and coordinator for the Perkins-CTE grant for the college.
Collaborates with colleges and employer partners to design, register, and launch Registered Apprenticeship (RA) and pre-apprenticeship programs aligned with academic programs and labor market demand.
Serves as the primary point of contact for employers, industry associations, and workforce intermediaries with respect to apprenticeship opportunities and programs.
Builds and sustains partnerships to connect apprenticeship programs with talent pipelines.
Designs and implements a framework for establishing and registering pre/apprenticeship programs aligned with U.S. Department of Labor standards and CBE best practices.
Develops and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs), templates, and toolkits to support launching, executing and sustaining pre-apprenticeships and apprenticeships.
Facilitates onboarding and orientation for new apprentices, ensuring understanding of program expectations, supports, and resources.
Leads the registration and ongoing maintenance of apprenticeship programs in the Registered Apprenticeship Partners Information Data System (RAPIDS).
Utilizes systems such as Salesforce and work-based learning (WBL) platforms to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and institutional reporting requirements
Writes and edits various types of correspondence.
Works effectively with department staff, students, and all college personnel.
Participates in various college activities by serving on committees, task forces, and other campus organizations as appropriate.
May assume other grant responsibilities as received by the college.
Performs related duties as assigned.

This position may be eligible for a remote work schedule in accordance with college policy and requires on‑campus presence as needed for institutional activities such as in‑service days, professional development, and departmental meetings.
