Role Overview:
Incumbents work is broad in scope and involves extremely complex issues that require analytical, managerial, and administrative abilities. Work assignments are consistently of a high level policy and administrative nature. Extensive judgment is required to perform necessary duties to determine appropriate actions needed to accomplish the program objectives. All policies, plans, and decisions will be made in the global involvement with multiple programs and stakeholders.
Salary:

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours which may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.

Individuals in this role should minimally be able to articulate or demonstrate the following:
A degree is not required. However, at least five (5) years of relevant grant programs, program planning, public administration, and related field experience applying the outlined knowledge, skills, and abilities in a similar role may be considered.

Difficulty of Work:
Your work will interpret and adapt guidelines to many different program areas within a major agency frequently involving unprecedented situations. Uses extensive judgment in applying guidelines to complex situations. Considers impact of alternative solutions and interpretation on programs and regulation.
Responsibility:
Makes recommendations and decisions concerning program planning, administration of grant rules, regulations. Works independently on various grant programs with an emphasis on epidemiology grants. Decisions and recommendations are reviewed by a policy-making authority for attainment of general objectives and compliance with agency policy.
The grant coordinator oversees the ongoing process of tracking and reporting progress from the assigned grants.
Reporting consists of coordinating the collection and entry of annual performance measures, end of year reporting, and general progress updates.
The grant coordinator will analyze grant expenditures and activities to ensure compliance.
The grant coordinator will assist in the development of the workplans for the annual applications. The position will work with program staff, other federal and state partners.
Personal Work Relationships:
Works in concert with Agency staff and management, governmental agencies, and private citizens for the purpose of explaining or interpreting the grant process and to write or review grant applications.
Personal Work Relationships:
This individual will be expected to partner with agency personnel and related stakeholders working towards completion of assigned functions. Exceptional customer service is provided to agency partners and/or the general public.
Partnership with relevant public agencies, federal, state & local governments and/or community leaders may be required.
Physical Effort:
This role performs work in an environment where sitting for extended periods of time could be expected.
Working Conditions:
This role performs work in a standard office environment.
