Position Summary
The Department of Developmental Biology in the School of Medicine is seeking a Grant Specialist II to support a portfolio of research-active faculty in a hybrid role based in St. Louis, MO. This position provides both pre-award and post-award support across the full sponsored project lifecycle, including preparing and submitting proposals, developing and managing budgets, coordinating subawards, and ensuring compliance with sponsor and university policies. The Grant Specialist II partners closely with faculty, department administrators, and central offices to ensure accurate, timely proposal and award management, while supporting payroll sourcing and budget monitoring after award. The ideal candidate has experience in research administration or budgeting, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a collaborative academic environment.

Salary Range
$53,100.00 - $90,600.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one''s qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
