The Augusta Area School District is looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Grant Writer to help secure the funding that fuels our programs. In this role, you will be the lead for our funding proposals. You will research new grant opportunities, write clear and persuasive proposals, and manage the submission process from start to finish. Responsibilities:

  • Write clear, compelling, and highly tailored grant proposals to foundations, corporate donors, and government agencies.
  • Work with staff to understand our needs, gather details, and translate those needs into proposals.
  • Gather and organize supporting documents to package with submissions.
  • Proactively research and identify new funding opportunities from private foundations, corporations, and government sources.
  • Maintain deadlines, pending proposals, reporting requirements, and historical data.
  • Help assess which funding opportunities are the best match for our organization''s current priorities.
  • Write progress reports to existing funders, highlighting how their investments made a difference.
  • Draft thank you letters and assist with stewardship materials to keep donors engaged and informed.
