Job Description
Technical Solutions Inc. is currently seeking a Grant Writer on behalf of our client, a Pittsburgh area engineering consultant.
Duties:
- Support our client in securing funding opportunities for infrastructure and public works projects in partnership with municipal clients.
- The ideal candidate will be experienced in identifying local government grant opportunities
- Preparing funding proposals
- Collaborating with technical teams to develop grant applications that align with engineering and municipal objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Public Administration, Urban Planning, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in grant writing or funding development, preferably in infrastructure, public works, or municipal services.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering terminology, infrastructure project lifecycles, and government grant application processes (e.g., DCNR, DOT, EPA, FEMA, USDA, etc.).
- Excellent technical writing and research skills with attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
- Familiarity with public-sector funding sources, including federal and state grant programs relevant to municipalities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with grant databases and portals (e.g., Grants.gov, SAM.gov, state-specific systems).
- Ability to work in a team environment.
