Job Title:Grants and Contracts Analyst

Position Summary

We are seeking a Grants and Contracts Analyst to join our team supporting the Professional Support Personnel Services (PSPS) contract with the Office of Family Assistance (OFA) within the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

In this critical junior-level role, you will provide reliable technical support to help administer federal grant programs that promote family economic security and stability. You will assist senior team members and the Project Manager with grant and contract oversight, program integrity, research and evaluation, strategic communication, and budget tracking for key initiatives including TANF, HMRF, and Tribal Programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of project tasks as assigned by the Project Manager, including data analysis, drafting report sections, and supporting organizational and business process improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular check-in meetings with grantees, review submitted reports, analyze performance data, and prepare briefings for OFA staff.
  • Review technical reports from grantees, assess quality and compliance with federal standards, and provide clear assessments to OFA leadership.
  • Support research and evaluation activities designed to strengthen evidence-based human services programming.
  • Track grant and contract activities against schedules and requirements to ensure timely compliance and prevent delays.
  • Assist with state-of-the-art dissemination and strategic communication efforts, including updates to OFA web pages, social media, and e-blasts.
  • Track and analyze financial data for grants and contracts; help prepare financial reports for leadership.
  • Provide general office support, including scheduling meetings, taking notes, and preparing materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned with flexibility and a strong focus on quality.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) in a relevant field.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality, and compliant deliverables.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under moderate supervision as part of a larger project team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in grant/contract/project management, oversight, or related technical support in a federal or human services environment (HHS/ACF/OFA experience is highly preferred).
  • Familiarity with federal grant programs, particularly those supporting family economic security.
  • Experience with data analysis, report writing, and grantee monitoring.
  • Proficiency with additional tools such as:
    • Adobe Acrobat Professional
    • Adobe Creative Cloud
    • Tableau Creator
    • ArcGIS Pro / ArcGIS Online
    • Social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, TweetDeck, SproutSocial)
