Job Summary:


The Grant Program Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management and oversight of the Arizona Board of Nursing (AZBN) 1803 grants within Dignity Health Arizona. This role ensures compliance with all granting agency requirements, facilitates effective communication between stakeholders, and promotes the successful implementation and execution of grant-funded projects. The Grant Program Manager serves as the primary point of contact for all grant-related activities and provides guidance and support to Principal Investigators and other stakeholders. This position is funded by the AZBN Grant for 1 year.


Essential Functions:


+ Grant Oversight and Compliance: Manage the full life cycle of AZBN grants, ensuring adherence to all granting agency requirements, Dignity Health policies, and relevant regulations. This includes conducting thorough quality control reviews of grant applications, monitoring project progress, and ensuring timely submission of required reports. Will have oversight of Data Analyst and Preceptor Program Manager.Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between Dignity Health, the AZBN, Principal Investigators, and other stakeholders. Facilitate clear and effective communication, address inquiries, resolve complex problems, and foster collaborative relationships to support grant objectives.

+ Grant Negotiation and Facilitation: Negotiate with granting agencies regarding requested changes, corrections, or clarifications to grant agreements. Facilitate agency requests with investigators to ensure accurate and timely responses, and proactively address potential issues.

+ Reporting and Documentation: Prepare comprehensive narrative and informational reports as needed by funding agencies, investigators, and administration. Compile and organize information for grant applications, progress reports, and audits.

+ Training and Education: Develop and deliver training and educational materials for investigators and administration on grant management best practices, compliance requirements, and relevant policies. Disseminate information regarding the grant oversight program and encourage its utilization.

+ Process Improvement and Efficiency: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of grant management and application processes. Develop and maintain operating procedures to streamline work flows and ensure consistent application of best practices.

+ Budget Management and Reporting: Assist in budget development, grant management reporting, cost tracking, reconciliation, and auditing activities. Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with grant budget guidelines.

+ Program Design and Implementation: Manage in the designing, implementing, planning and tracking of all activities in relation to the grant scope of work.

+ Monitoring and Improvement: Teaching/mentoring experience in program promotion, conference and educational training, outcome measurement, monitoring and improvement to assist project advisory committee/board in meeting or exceeding their program goals.


Qualifications


Minimum:


Education


Bachelors Degree in Nursing required


Masters Of Nursing preferred


Licenses and Certifications:


Registered Nurse: AZ (RN:AZ)


Knowledge/Skills:


+ Grant management experience within a healthcare or academic setting.

+ Thorough knowledge of grant management principles, including organizational management, outcome measurement, staffing development, data tracking, evidence-based research methodology, staff and program scheduling, special event management and a system approach to problem solving.

+ Ability to develop and manage budgets, track expenses, and prepare financial reports.

+ Knowledge of AZBN 1803 grant preferred, with knowledge of the Arizona State Board of Nursing.

+ Teaching/Mentoring experience preferred.
