The Grants Manager position will be primarily responsible for prospecting, soliciting, writing, reporting, and other administrative duties associated with the obtaining grants. Grants submitted should be in alignment with the hospitals mission, vision, values, and strategic objectives set forth by the CEO, Board of Directors, and CPDO. This position may be asked to help with other special projects from time to time to help support the overall fundraising goals of the foundation.
Minimum Education & Experience
- BA in a major relevant to grant writing skills.
- Minimum 5 years experience.
- Demonstrated ability to write successful applications.
- Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
Physical Requirements
Capable of safely performing functions indigenous to the position, including:
- Sitting and standing for long periods of time.
- Mobility, lifting, squatting, reaching overhead, and repetitive use of the upper extremities.
Licensing & Accommodation
- Valid California drivers license and the ability to drive routinely on freeways and non-freeway public roads.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain current knowledge of Casa Colinas programs and priorities in order to prospect for potential funders and develop grant projects with the most relevance to Casa Colinas needs and the needs of its patients.
- Experience in using all resources (e.g., software, advisory committees) to stay informed of grant opportunities as they change in the government, private, and corporate sectors.
- Must have extremely good writing, editing, budgeting, and management skills and be able to produce:
- Correspondence
- Letters of Interest
- Full applications
- Budgets and budget narratives
- Granting agency reports
- Grant agreements
- Internal reports and other documentation
- Able to work with the entire range of Casa Colina personnel, from the CEO and physicians to support staff, to gather information and collaborate on designing grant projects and manage each grants successful and timely completion.
- Maintain and fulfill a schedule of applications and reporting to satisfy the expectations of Casa Colinas Board and Administration and the requirements of outside granting agencies.
- Manage disbursement of grant and other temporary restricted funds of Casa Colina Foundation and prepare validating documentation and records.
- Maintain good relationships with staff at granting agencies and serve as Casa Colinas ambassador to this sector of the philanthropic community.
- In concert with other staff of Casa Colina and the Foundation, this person will participate in Foundation-wide and Casa Colina-wide efforts for fundraising education and community relations.
- Must be able to work independently, set and manage deadlines, and use own judgment related to grants.
Pay Range
The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $80,000/year.
