Position Summary:
The Graphic Artist is responsible for providing reference for surgical support teams during operation procedures as well as for production personnel who are assembling the graphic case contents. This position works as part of the Graphic Case Design team and collaborates with the Product Development, Creative Services, and Manufacturing teams.
Essential Functions:
· Prepares illustrations for approval by Product Development and which will used by vendors for silkscreening and deep imaging, as well as being referenced by production personnel while assembling graphic case products.
· Illustrations are prepared using Adobe Illustrator and PTC Creo.
· Creates DXF files to the Manufacturing team to be used for laser etching of finished parts.
· Cross-checks Graphic Case Designers’ layouts to ensure clarity, legibility, and ease of production, as necessary.
· Maintains corporate standards, with regards to colors, fonts, scales, etc.
· This is not a creative role, but the Graphic Artist does periodically interface with the Creative Services department on corporate branding, to ensure consistency.
Qualifications:
· 5+ years of experience using Adobe Illustrator including working with:
· Gradients
· Transparency
· Pathfinder tools
· Layer functions
· Experience with PTC Creo and Windchill are a plus, but not necessary.
