3 Month contract job onsite in Washington DC
The Graphic Design and Layout Associate supports the Brand Services Team in the production of high-volume print and digital communications. This role is responsible for adapting existing templates, updating layouts, preparing production-ready files, and ensuring materials meet established brand and editorial standards.
The Associate will work with Creative Services team members and internal business partners to produce a variety of materials, including advertisements, brochures, reports, digital banners, promotional materials, environmental signage, templates, and other branded communications. The role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in graphic design and production software, and the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Adapt and edit existing print and digital templates using approved layouts and brand standards.
• Incorporate copy updates, resize or replace images, and make layout adjustments as needed.
• Produce and update advertisements, brochures, reports, digital banners, promotional materials, signage, templates, and other branded communications.
• Prepare accurate, production-ready files for internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Apply established brand, visual, and editorial standards to assigned projects.
• Review materials for accuracy, consistency, formatting, image quality, and overall presentation prior to delivery.
• Work with internal clients and Creative Services team members to clarify project requirements and resolve content or layout questions.
• Manage multiple assignments simultaneously and meet established deadlines and service-level expectations.
• Support high-volume production needs across programs and initiatives.
• Assist with Creative Services digital platforms and resources, including asset portals, self-service tools, brand catalogs, and other internal creative resources.
• Perform other related graphic design and production support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in graphic design, production design, layout, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong understanding of graphic design fundamentals, layout, typography, image selection, and production processes.
• Experience working within established brand standards and templates.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with creative team members and internal clients as well as independently.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and digital asset management is a plus.
