Graphic Design & Marketing Specialist The Thrasher Group is seeking a Graphic Design & Marketing Specialist with a strong professional graphic design background to join our Marketing team in our Bridgeport, West Virginia office. The successful candidate must be able to independently develop polished, professional visual materials from concept through final production—not simply work within existing templates. Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is required, along with a demonstrated understanding of typography, composition, visual hierarchy, branding, layout, and print and digital production. But we are looking for more than a designer. This position also supports proposals, interview presentations, client communications, and marketing initiatives that help Thrasher communicate effectively and win work. The right candidate will be curious, comfortable learning our business, and able to think beyond the immediate assignment to consider the audience, message, and desired outcome. What You'll Do
What We're Looking For First and foremost, you must be a strong designer. We need someone who can begin with a blank page, limited direction, and a communication objective and develop an original, professional-quality solution. We also want someone who thinks beyond the immediate request. You should be naturally curious, ask thoughtful questions, seek context, research unfamiliar topics, bring ideas to the table, and take ownership of assignments. This position is not limited to graphic design. Successful candidates must also be comfortable researching, writing, interviewing technical staff, developing presentations, and learning about the industries and communities we serve. Qualifications
Experience in a corporate marketing department, agency, professional services firm, or similar environment is preferred. Experience with proposals, presentations, video editing, or architecture, engineering, construction, or another technical industry is a plus. Portfolio Required A portfolio is required for consideration and must demonstrate original, professional-level graphic design work. Examples of multi-page or multi-panel layouts, advertisements, brochures, presentations, campaigns, or other real-world business communications are strongly encouraged.
