Graphic Design Manager - Football

The Manager of Graphic Design for football will oversee the strategic plan for all branding directly related to Syracuse Football, and specifically Syracuse Football recruiting efforts. This includes generating and developing the team's visual identity for use on social media, for recruiting purposes, and for internal use. This individual will be responsible for "telling the story" and developing the visual language of Syracuse Football on a year-to-year basis to recruits and fans. The Manager of Graphic Design will create personalized recruiting graphics for top recruits at the request of the Recruiting/Coaching Staffs and oversee all recruiting photo shoots. The position will be responsible for managing the social media plan for all Syracuse Football Recruiting accounts as well as the Head Football Coach's accounts. All graphic designers will report to this individual to receive their workflow assignments. This individual will complete various other tasks as assigned by the Head Coach.

Education and Experience

• Minimum bachelor's degree.
• Previous experience working directly in a college recruiting department and managing the day-to-day creation of creative materials.

Skills and Knowledge

• Knowledge of NCAA rules and a commitment to rules compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and project a professional attitude.
• Commitment to the recruitment of quality student-athletes.
• Ability to support gender and diversity commitment of the department.
• Must be eligible to obtain a State of New York driver's license and must be able to comply with all university requirements pertaining to driving on state business.
• Ability to multi-task and meet requirements under pressure and willingness to work extended hours.
• Must possess the ability to meet project deadlines and work under time constraint pressures.
• Good organizational, communication and computer skills.
• Strong commitment and ability to work well with student-athletes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, etc).
• Experience organizing and executing photoshoots for prospective student athletes.
• Experience in photography/videography.
• Knowledge of NCAA compliance relative to recruiting materials.

Responsibilities

• Generate and develop the team's visual identity for use on social media, for recruiting purposes, and for internal use.
• Create personalized recruiting graphics for top recruits at the request of the Recruiting/Coaching Staffs as well as other graphic design projects to aid the football program.
• Contribute to the social media plan for all Syracuse Football Recruiting accounts as well as the Head Football Coach's account.
• Conceptualize and implement a strategic communication plan for prospective football student athletes.
• Manage all graphic designers and their workflow.
