Duties Description The Graphic Designer 2 position is located within the Public Affairs Bureau of the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) located in Albany Office. The Graphic Designer 2 reports directly to the Director of Public Information (NS) for the agency. The Public Affairs Bureau (PAB) reports to the Commissioner of OPRHP.
Under the general supervision of the Director of Marketing, the Graphic Designer 2 is responsible for developing a wide range of graphics, publications and digital content and conducts duties and responsibilities with a good deal of independence. The position is responsible for the following.
Provide technical guidance and consultation to park staff in such matters as the most effective use of color, illustrations, layout, production, methods of presentation, and cost
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in an art or design field such as art, drawing,
painting, illustration, digital design, or interactive media and two years of experience; or an associate's degree in the same fields and four years of experience.
