The Role

This is a hands-on creative role within Alchemyst Studios, our in-house creative team.

You’ll work across print, digital, social, video, presentation design, campaigns, environmental graphics, and emerging media. Some days you’ll be refining brand systems. Other days you’ll be building motion graphics, designing social campaigns, experimenting with AI-generated concepts, or helping shape storytelling for organizations doing meaningful work in Hawai‘i.

You’ll collaborate closely with strategists, communicators, writers, and creatives locally and across the global ICOM network.

What You’ll Do

• Design across print, digital, social, video, and environmental platforms
• Bring ideas from concept to execution with strong attention to craft and detail
• Collaborate with strategists, writers, clients, and creatives to create meaningful work
• Use AI-powered creative tools to accelerate ideation and production workflows
• Balance bold creative thinking with practical execution
• Contribute to brainstorming, storytelling, and campaign development
• Stay curious and continuously evolve your creative skills

What We’re Looking For

• Strong design fundamentals and good creative instincts
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Experience with AI-assisted creative workflows and emerging tools
• Ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Positive attitude and collaborative mindset
• Someone who cares about the details because details always matter
• Photography, motion, video, or illustration skills are a plus

Qualifications

• Minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Media Arts, or related field preferred
• Professional experience in design, agency, in-house, freelance, or equivalent creative work
• Strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across mediums
