Summary
Summary: Designs materials to be presented by visual communications media such as books, pamphlets, forms, and documents that promote and fulfill the vision and direction of the Secretary of State.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Fulfills assignments from the Creative Services Director and Executive staff to design materials for publication, display and/or posting through digital media.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (business office with computers and printers and light traffic).
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Language Skills: Level 3 - Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before small groups of visitors, vendors or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply or divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. Production Specialist must be proficient using graphic design software, tools and techniques, with preference for Adobe Creative Suite components in a Macintosh operating system environment.
Education/Experience: Degree from four-year University in graphic design, desktop publishing or related field; and a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Arkansas driver's license required.
