JSG is seeking a Graphics Designer for a direct hire opportunity in Thousand Oaks, CA.
Position Summary
Our client, a premier B2B buying show that brings together independent retailers, local distributors, brands, and manufacturers. This role supports a high-visibility tradeshow brand where your work directly impacts pre-event marketing, on-site experience, and brand presence across print, digital, and environmental assets.

Salary Range: $85,000–$110,000 (DOE)

Creative Design & Concepting
  • Develop original concepts based on creative briefs and direction from the Creative Director and Marketing stakeholders
  • Translate marketing messages into clear, compelling visual communication
  • Research audience needs, project goals, and competitive landscape before starting design work
  • Balance creativity with practicality, timelines, and cost-conscious execution

Brand & Visual Execution
  • Apply brand standards across print, digital, video, and environmental design
  • Build strong layouts using typography, composition, and color principles
  • Create assets supporting the full tradeshow lifecycle, including:
    • Tradeshow graphics & environmental signage
    • Marketing campaigns & advertisements
    • Direct mail & promotional materials
    • Brochures & collateral
    • Email + digital graphics
    • Video and motion/graphic animation
    • Multi-channel brand experiences

Project Management & Collaboration
  • Manage multiple projects at once and consistently meet deadlines
  • Track schedules, production requirements, and budget considerations
  • Communicate progress proactively, flag risks early, and help solve roadblocks
  • Partner effectively with internal teams, stakeholders, and external vendors

Production Excellence
  • Proofread and quality-check all deliverables prior to release
  • Ensure files meet print, digital, and web specifications
  • Maintain organized project files, archives, and consistent naming conventions
  • Apply working knowledge of print production, including:
    • Mechanical/prepress preparation
    • Print specifications
    • Large-format/environmental graphics
    • Coordinating and directing vendor execution

Digital & Emerging Media
  • Apply best practices for web/mobile design
  • Support visual storytelling through video and/or motion graphics
  • Stay current on emerging AI design tools and incorporate relevant solutions into workflows
  • Monitor design trends and industry standards to continuously elevate output
Requirements
  • BA/BS in Design or BFA (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 8+ years of hands-on graphic and digital design experience
  • Expert proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite:
    • Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere (Apple/Mac environment)
  • Working knowledge of: Figma, HTML5, Canva, CapCut
  • Experience using project management tools (e.g., Asana)
