Job Description:
The Art & Architecture Department is seeking adjunct instructors for Spring 2026.
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in art with a concentration in graphic design from a regionally accredited college or university is preferred; candidates with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and substantial professional web design experience are encouraged to apply.
- 3 years of experience in the field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Ideal candidates will be designers specializing in web and interactive design with related professional experience.
- Thorough proficiencies with current industry standard software programs, languages and web standards are required.
- The college seeks educators who have experience working with students from widely diverse backgrounds.
- Prior college teaching experience.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish. English and another language will be considered.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES- The ability to encourage student success is essential to teaching at Onondaga Community College.
Additional Information:- Adjunct rate of pay for the 25/26 academic year is $1,483/credit hour. Classes will be assigned on an as needed basis dependent upon enrollment.
- Adjuncts are eligible to participate in the NYS Teacher's Retirement System.
