    Job Description

The Graphics Tech Artist is a key contributor to the GFX Real-Time Systems team, responsible for understanding, implementing, and maintaining the technical workflows behind our real-time broadcast projects.

This role owns the end-to-end build and modification of real-time graphics templates, primarily within the VizRT system, supporting both Remote and Studio productions across Prime Video Live Sports.

This role is fundamental to laying the technical foundation for real-time graphics elements, translating design intent into robust, operator-ready templates while keeping scene logic, control, and data integration functioning reliably on air.

The Graphics Tech Artist works in constant contact with vendors and internal stakeholders providing hardware, software, and creative elements, ensuring everything stays on schedule and works within the framework the team is building. This includes staying current on all software and hardware specs and making updates as needed.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Manage real-time graphics package, from concept through delivery and seasonal maintenance, primarily within the VizRT system. This includes creating graphics packages from reference images and building out transition logic for scenes with DataPool.
    • Able to perform weekly modifications and/or new iterations of existing graphics templates - while conforming work to existing structure of Viz assets and templates.
    • Manage project frameworks and delivery schedules in coordination with external vendors, remaining in constant contact to keep assets on schedule.
    • Ensure all templates are compliant with technical specifications across design, scene logic, operator control, and data integration. This will include using Trio or other front-end control applications.
    • Conduct QC sign-off in alignment with PVLS Production Delivery Guidelines, confirming assets adhere to technical specifications and follow mandated file naming conventions.
    • Drive best practices across the full scene-build pipeline, from design hand-off through operator-ready delivery.
    • Collaborate with Technical Operations and Technology teams to improve existing tools and operational workflows by identifying problem areas and providing smart solutions.
    • Identify operational improvements and help evolve in-house graphics tooling and templates as the team's capabilities expand.
    • Coordinate and track a high volume of work through an end-to-end workflow across both Remote and Studio productions.
    • Collaborate closely with internal Production teams, Technical Operations, Technology, and PVLS brand stakeholders.
    • Clearly articulate and document technical processes.
    • Commission and update system software which supports our projects.
    • Occasional travel is required.

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
