PLEASE NOTE: The starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and is anticipated to be in the range of $5,044.00 per month to $5,910.00 per month (Step 1 - Step 9).

About the Position

This position will serve as a Biotech Laboratory Coordinator for the Green Biome Institute (GBI). Established in June 2019, the Institute's mission is to conserve endangered plants through seed banking, propagation, and thorough genomic analysis. The genomic data collected on these critically endangered plants includes DNA, RNA, small RNA, and associated bacteria, viruses, and fungi and will be made freely available to the public. This position will be responsible for hands-on laboratory work and sequencing, laboratory scheduling and budgeting, and representing the Institute to partner institutions, academic centers, companies, botanical gardens, and conservation centers.

Prefer advanced degrees (M.S. but Ph.D. even more highly considered) in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, or Computer Science or related fields.
