Position Description
Join Seattle Public Utilities as the Green Fleet Advisor & Team Supervisor, where you will play a pivotal role in advancing the utility's sustainability and climate action goals. In this leadership position, you will guide the strategic direction of SPU's fleet operations by developing and managing the team's work plans, driving fleet electrification initiatives, and ensuring progress toward key milestones established through executive directives, including the Mayors New Green Deal Executive Order, as well as SPU's broader climate commitments.
As a trusted advisor and team supervisor, you will champion innovation and operational excellence by leading fleet and logistics continuous improvement efforts, optimizing processes, and fostering a culture of sustainability, efficiency, and accountability. About Seattle Public Utilities: (SPU) is a community-centered utility that delivers vital services to Seattle residents and businesses including drinking water, drainage and wastewater, and garbage/recycling/compost. Qualifications
Experience: Five (5) years of relevant experience in policy, organizational planning, project or program management, or advising senior management or executives on policy or program direction, or related field
Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Project Management, Environmental Studies, or related field
OR
Combinations of appropriate education, training, certification, and experience will be evaluated on an individual basis for comparability to the minimum education and experience requirements
