About the Role:
Picnikins Patio Cafe in San Antonio, TX is looking for a talented and passionate Grill Cook to join our kitchen team! Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain grill station during service, cooking meats, vegetables, and other menu items to order
• Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and cafe standards
• Monitor food quality, temperature, and presentation before plates leave the kitchen
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary grill station throughout the shift
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth, timely ticket flow during peak hours
• Follow all food safety and handling guidelines in compliance with health codes
• Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a grill cook, line cook, or similar role preferred
• Solid knowledge of grilling techniques and cooking temperatures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-heat kitchen environment
• Strong time management and multitasking skills during busy service periods
• Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
