Position Overview:

The Grill Cook prepares and serves food while providing friendly, efficient customer service in accordance with food safety standards. This role prepares grill and short-order items, serves food from multiple stations, and ensures food is properly cooked, presented, portioned, and maintained at the correct temperature. The Grill Cook also handles and stores food products safely, maintains clean work areas and equipment, addresses customer concerns, and works cooperatively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.

 

This position is located in Staten Island, New York.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook food at the grill station according to approved recipes and production standards.
• Take customer orders, prepare short-order items, and provide friendly, efficient service.
• Maintain proper cooking temperatures, portion control, presentation, and taste standards.
• Serve customers at multiple stations while following established service procedures.
• Maintain accurate service records and follow ticket collection procedures.
• Safely handle, transport, store, and rotate food products according to sanitation and safety requirements.
• Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and utensils to meet health and safety standards.
• Address customer concerns professionally and communicate issues to supervisors as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum of six (6) consecutive months of experience as a Grill Cook or in a similar food preparation role.
• Ability to prepare and cook food according to recipes, production standards, and food safety guidelines.
• Knowledge of proper food handling, sanitation, and temperature control procedures.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced food service environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Ability to follow instructions, maintain cleanliness, and perform assigned duties efficiently.
• Reliability, teamwork, and attention to detail.
• Ability to participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and ongoing development activities.

Pay Range: USD $18.87 - USD $18.87 /Hr.
