Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Grinder Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Grinder Operator is responsible for grinding, smoothing, and finishing metal parts and welds to meet quality specifications and customer requirements.
Responsibilities:- Operate hand grinders, angle grinders, and other finishing equipment.
- Remove excess weld material, burrs, and imperfections from metal components.
- Grind and finish parts according to blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Inspect completed work to ensure proper dimensions and surface finish.
- Use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Perform routine maintenance on grinding equipment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other fabrication and production duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- Previous manufacturing, fabrication, or grinding experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and reaching.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and metal materials.
- Experience in metal fabrication, welding, or manufacturing environments.
- Experience using angle grinders, die grinders, and finishing tools.
- Must Pass a Background & Drug Screen
- Must Pass a Measurement Test
