Grinder/Finisher

Job Title: Grinder/Finisher
Location: Lake Mary, FL
Pay: $16+ per hour
Shift: 2:30-1am Monday to Thursday

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate hand-held grinders, swing grinders, and/or CNC grinding machines to meet production requirements
• Grind, polish, sand, and sharpen materials to remove welds, defects, rust, and excess material
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances
• Select, install, and maintain proper grinding wheels and attachments, including dressing wheels as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE (safety glasses, ear protection, respirators, etc.)
• Maintain accurate production logs and documentation of completed work
• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe at all times

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment preferred
• Experience using hand tools and pneumatic/electric grinders
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• CNC grinding experience is a plus

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, heat, and fumes
• Must consistently wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
