Grinding Operator

Job Title: Grinding Operator DETAILS: Type: Direct Hire Location: Shelton, CT Salary: $19.00–$21.00/hour (Depending on Experience) Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Thursday | 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM We are currently seeking a Grinding Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Shelton, CT. Position Overview This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a manufacturing or machining background looking to build a long-term career. While previous grinding experience is a plus, it is not required. Candidates with experience operating manufacturing equipment such as presses, stamping machines, coining equipment, or other production machinery are encouraged to apply. The company provides training and offers excellent opportunities for advancement. Responsibilities Set up and operate grinding equipment to produce quality parts. Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed. Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments to ensure quality standards are met. Read and follow work instructions, production schedules, and specifications. Load and unload materials while maintaining efficient production flow. Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment issues. Maintain accurate production records. Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards. Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe. Assist with other manufacturing duties as needed. Qualifications Manufacturing or machining experience required. Experience operating production equipment such as presses, stamping, coining, CNC, or other industrial machinery preferred. Grinding experience is a plus but not required—training will be provided. Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges is preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good attendance and a strong work ethic. Preferred Experience Grinding operations. Metal manufacturing. Precision machining. Stamping or coining operations. Machine operation in a manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Frequently lift up to 40 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment in a production environment.
