We''re looking for friendly, compassionate, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Grocery Clerks. In this role, you''ll do much more than stock shelves and process transactions. You''ll help create welcoming experiences for Residents, families, and guests while supporting an innovative environment that is changing the way dementia is viewed and experienced.

Position Details

Status: Part-Time Opportunities Available

Pay: $15.00/hour

Schedule:

• 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• 2-3 days/week
• Some holidays required

What You''ll Do

As a Grocery Clerk, you''ll help create a positive and engaging shopping experience while providing exceptional customer service to Residents, guests, and families.

Responsibilities include:

• Opening and closing the retail shop
• Greeting customers and creating a welcoming environment
• Answering questions and assisting customers with product selection
• Replenishing merchandise and stocking shelves
• Creating attractive product displays
• Maintaining electronic inventory records and labeling merchandise
• Processing sales transactions, returns, exchanges, and special orders
• Operating the Point of Sale (POS) system
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting retail space
• Monitoring the shop and following safety and security procedures
• Providing clerical support related to sales and inventory reporting
• Assisting with courtyard reservation processes
• Identifying Memory Center Residents for accurate billing procedures
• Handling customer concerns professionally and positively
• Performing other duties as assigned

Memory Care Position Overview

As part of the Marlin & Doris Thomas Memory Center team, you will:

• Reinforce a person-directed approach to aging
• Work from a strengths-based perspective that seeks moments of joy and celebrates each person''s abilities
• Support a habilitative approach to care that emphasizes independence, dignity, and purpose
• Help create experiences that encourage Residents to continue living life forward
• Provide compassionate support that honors autonomy, ownership, and personal choice

What We''re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• One to three months of related experience and/or training preferred
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
• Experience using a Point of Sale (POS) system preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Positive, patient, and engaging personality
