Grocery Store Cashier
We are looking for a reliable, friendly cashier to join our team at Price Chopper. We are currently hiring for one full-time position and several part-time roles. In this role, you'll provide a smooth and engaging checkout experience while supporting sales and helping create a positive, guest-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities & Job Duties
- Provide friendly, helpful, and respectful guest service at all times
- Accurately scan and process guest purchases while maintaining speed and accuracy
- Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments following proper procedures
- Stay informed on promotions, pricing, and store initiatives to support sales and enhance the guest experience
- Engage with guests to answer questions, make suggestions, and help connect them with products that meet their needs
- Communicate clearly with teammates and leadership to support smooth front-end operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe checkout and front-end area
- Stock, face, and assist with product placement as needed
- Operate POS systems, scanners, and related equipment accurately
- Monitor inventory levels near checkout areas and report issues
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
- Assist with bagging, restocking, cleaning, and supporting other departments as needed
- Remain productive during slower periods by supporting store presentation and identifying opportunities to improve the guest experience
- Other job duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience Required: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Preferred: Experience in grocery, retail, or food service environments
