Do you thrive where timing, teamwork, and safety intersect?

Imagine an aircraft taxiing into the gate. In minutes, baggage must move, equipment must align, and teams must act in sync. As PrimeFlight’s Ground Support Operations Team Supervisor, you’re the conductor—coordinating ramp services, mentoring people, and delivering on-time departures without compromising safety or service.

Role impact

In this leadership role, you’ll guide ramp agents through the full ground handling cycle: unloading and loading, towing, staging GSE, and servicing aircraft. You’ll collaborate with flight crews and airport partners to accelerate turnarounds, uphold rigorous standards, and solve problems in real time.

You will

  • Lead safe, efficient ramp operations for aircraft loading/unloading
  • Coordinate tasks and people to achieve timely turnarounds
  • Deliver training, mentorship, and clear expectations to ramp teams
  • Hold the line on airline, airport, and safety regulations; run pre-shift safety briefings
  • Protect the integrity of baggage, cargo, and mail handling
  • Maintain seamless communication across ramp, flight crew, and ground operations
  • Ensure GSE is used correctly and maintained to standard
  • Enforce safety and hazard-prevention measures; lead during irregular ops and emergencies
  • Build teamwork that meets schedule and service commitments
  • Conduct performance evaluations and coach for continuous improvement
  • Own DOT compliance for vehicles, equipment, and personnel operating on airside and landside
  • Perform audits/inspections; review maintenance records, driver qualifications, and procedures; train staff on updates to DOT rules
  • Collaborate with other airport departments for smooth, coordinated operations
  • Keep thorough records of ramp activities and any incidents
  • Set the tone for safety, professionalism, and PrimeFlight-level service
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned

What you need to succeed

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license and a driving record meeting standards
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively
  • Minimum 2 years in ramp operations or related aviation work
  • Track record of supervisory or team leadership success
  • Strong command of ramp safety and operational best practices
  • Comfort using iPads/Tablets, computers, and mobile devices; able to interpret printed and electronic information
  • Clear communication with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through digital channels
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Ability to obtain required credentials/clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, U.S. Postal—as applicable)
  • Schedule flexibility—nights, weekends, holidays as business requires

Grow with PrimeFlight

  • 401(k) with matching, plus health, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • Paid time off and meaningful growth opportunities (*part-time benefits may vary)
  • Join a respected aviation services leader with 200+ locations worldwide
  • Positive, respectful teams and a competitive pay scale

Physical realities of the ramp

  • Lift and move items up to 70 pounds
  • Spend long periods standing and walking indoors and outdoors
  • Reach, grasp, push, and pull frequently
  • Bend, stretch, squat, and kneel as tasks require
  • Climb and work safely at heights
  • Work around moderate to high noise
  • Potential exposure to biohazards and chemicals
  • Operate in outdoor weather across seasons
  • Hear and react to spoken instructions and alarms
  • Perform repetitive motions of arms, wrists, hands, and fingers
