Cimarron is seeking a* Ground System Engineer Functional Lead* to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado.
Key Duties:
- Lead Ground System Engineers through all phases of the MDSEA program lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, testing, implementation, and sustainment.
- Oversee the successful completion of tasks and projects assigned to the Ground System Engineering team.
- Design and develop IT solutions to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of Ground System Elements and Mission Suites.
- Conduct studies, analyses, requirements definition, and system engineering to support ground system architecture and operations center development.
- Ensure coordination with infrastructure, network, integration, logistics, security, and cost/schedule teams to support fielding and operations of space capabilities.
- Partner with cybersecurity, DevSecOps, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and compliance.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

- Active Secret Clearance (or higher).
- 6 or more years of systems engineering experience.
- Experience developing and editing DoDAF or UAF architecture products for IT systems.
- Proficiency in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML.
- Experience decomposing complex mission systems into manageable components.
- Background in systems engineering for IT and satellite ground systems within the MDSEA environment.
- Strong skills in requirements analysis and management.
- Understanding of the Systems Engineering V Model and the full engineering lifecycle.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Active Top Secret Security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor's degree in IT or a STEM discipline.
