Ground Up SuperintendentOur client is a well-established general contractor specializing in both residential and commercial construction projects throughout New Jersey. Their portfolio includes ground-up developments, interior fit-outs, renovations, and remodeling projects, with a reputation for delivering high-quality work and maintaining strong client relationships.Job DescriptionManage all day-to-day construction activities on site.Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure adherence to project schedules.Oversee the construction of a 20-unit, 55,000-square-foot ground-up condominium development.Conduct daily site inspections and maintain quality control standards.Enforce OSHA and company safety regulations, ensuring a safe work environment.Monitor project progress and proactively resolve construction issues.Lead subcontractor meetings and coordinate work sequencing among trades.Review construction drawings and specifications to ensure compliance.Collaborate with project managers, owners, architects, and consultants.Maintain project documentation including daily reports, schedules, and site logs.Assist with inspections, punch lists, closeout activities, and project turnover.The Successful ApplicantA successful Ground Up Superintendent should have:5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a general contractor.Proven experience managing ground-up construction projects from start to finish.Experience in residential, multifamily, commercial, or mixed-use construction preferred.Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and quality control practices.Ability to lead teams, manage subcontractors, and maintain project momentum.Knowledge of local building codes, permitting processes, and safety regulations.Proficiency with construction management software and technology platforms.OSHA 30 certification preferred.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project schedules.What's on OfferCompetitive base salary of $100,000 - $110,000.Opportunity to lead a significant ground-up multifamily project from inception through completion.Long-term career growth with a stable and growing general contractor.Exposure to a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, fit-out, and renovation projects.Collaborative team environment with strong organizational support.Interested?
