Job TitleGround Up SuperintendentAbout Our ClientOur client is a growing and well-respected General Contractor specializing in commercial and industrial construction projects across New Jersey. Their portfolio consists primarily of ground-up and interior renovation projects ranging from $5 million to $15 million, with experience spanning self-storage, warehouse, commercial, industrial, and select mixed-use developments.Job DescriptionManage all daily on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel. Maintain project schedules and ensure work progresses according to established milestones. Conduct daily site walks to monitor quality, safety, productivity, and project progress. Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety standards. Serve as the primary field contact for subcontractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders. Review construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements to ensure proper execution. Coordinate inspections, material deliveries, and site logistics. Assist in the management and resolution of field issues, RFIs, and change orders. Maintain daily reports, manpower logs, and project documentation. Work collaboratively with the Project Manager, who will attend weekly site meetings and provide overall project oversight. Utilize Procore and other construction management software to track project documentation, schedules, and communication. Lead project closeout efforts, punch list completion, and final inspections.The Successful ApplicantA successful Ground Up Superintendent should have:3-5+ years of Superintendent or field leadership experience with a General Contractor.Experience managing commercial and industrial construction projects.Strong background overseeing both ground-up and interior renovation projects.Experience on projects valued between $5 million and $15 million.Self-storage construction experience is highly preferred but not required.Ability to independently run day-to-day site operations with limited supervision.Familiarity with project scheduling, quality control, safety management, and subcontractor coordination.Experience reviewing construction documents and coordinating field activities.Procore experience is a significant plus.Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Stable work history demonstrating successful project delivery.What's on OfferCompetitive base salary of $100,000 - $120,000, commensurate with experience.Opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, and mixed-use projects.Exposure to both ground-up and interior construction projects ranging from $5M-$15M.Long-term career growth with an established and expanding General Contractor.Collaborative partnership with experienced Project Managers and company leadership.Comprehensive health benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.Paid time off, holidays, and potential performance-based bonuses.Strong company culture with a focus on teamwork, accountability, and professional development.Interested?
