Summary

The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is in the famed Deer Valley ski resort and approximately 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is part of a new development, planned to incorporate 17 ski lifts, ±1,600 residential units, 8 hotels with a total of ±1,350 rooms, ±250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the largest "ski beaches" in the world.

The Grand Hyatt is comprised of 436 luxury accommodations including 381 guest rooms, 55 residences and 22 suites with approximately 30,000 square feet of versatile indoor meeting space, lobby level 3-meal restaurant and bar, signature bar, pool/après ski bar and grill, coffee bistro, large outdoor event terrace, pool and 3 whirlpools, kids club, and fitness area.

As a Grounds Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the beauty, safety, and functionality of our resort's outdoor spaces. From landscaped grounds and walking paths to irrigation systems and seasonal maintenance, you will help ensure our property consistently reflects Hyatt's luxury standards while preserving the natural beauty of Deer Valley. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Maintain the appearance and functionality of resort grounds, including lawns, landscaped beds, trees, shrubs, pathways, parking areas, and outdoor public spaces.

• Perform seasonal landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, mulching, fertilizing, leaf removal, and snow removal support as needed.

• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on outdoor fixtures, fencing, retaining walls, signage, outdoor furniture, and hardscape features.

• Respond promptly to guest and operational requests related to grounds maintenance.

• Assist Engineering with building maintenance and special projects as assigned.

• Identify and report safety hazards, damaged landscaping, irrigation issues, or equipment concerns.

• Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly store tools, equipment, and materials.

• Follow Hyatt safety standards, departmental procedures, and OSHA guidelines.

• Participate in emergency response and severe weather preparedness when required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• One year of experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, facilities maintenance, or a related field preferred.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining luxury property standards.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods of time.

• Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate amount of weight.

• ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong organizational and delegation skills.

• Valid driver license and clean driving record required

• Perform any other duties assigned
