Lincoln County School District is accepting on-line applications for a position for a Grounds II - Maintenance Worker.
This is a temporary position for a limited duration of less than 6 months.
The primary purpose of this position is to perform semi-skilled maintenance on District grounds and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following are examples of duties. However, any one position may not cover all duties listed; examples may not cover all duties an employee is expected to perform; and other duties may be assigned.
- Welding.
- Operates mechanical equipment/machinery.
- Plumbing (drain lines, catch basins, irrigation).
- Maintains and services grounds vehicles and equipment.
- Inspects, maintains and repairs playground equipment.
- Performs grounds maintenance including tree trimming, shrub trimming, lawn care, weed eating, weed control, storm debris cleanup, insect control, and repair of athletic fields.
- Operates heavy equipment.
- Asphalt cutting and repair.
- Concrete cutting and repair.
- Delivers and sets up chairs and other equipment for all school district functions.
- Handles moving and disposing of district surplus.
- Maintenance and painting of parking lots
- Services and repairs district emergency generators.
- Services and repairs district trash compactors.
- Estimates materials and cost of work orders.
- Prepares requisitions for materials.
- Maintains a variety of written records.
- Keeps company vehicle, office and work shop clean and in safe condition
- Moves furniture and books (new and used) as requested.
Qualified applicants will be asked for an interview and must provide a resume and at least 2 letters of recommendation. Upon selection, employees will be required to complete fingerprinting and a background check.
This is an 8 hour per day position
Starting Salary: $18.27 - 20.16/hr
