Grounds Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

Grounds Maintenance Technician We are hiring immediately for a Grounds Maintenance Technician position at our North Little Rock, AR location. If your background includes ground maintenance, gardening, landscaping, and irrigation work, or related experience, please apply!

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Maintain the campus grounds. Ensure quality of appearance, upkeep and function of the campus in accordance with company, federal, state, local and environmental regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for the overall ground maintenance e.g. mowing, trimming shrubs, spreading mulch, flower bed maintenance, weed eating, clearing fence rows and property lines, cutting down small trees, clearing under brush, trimming back branches etc.

2. Occasionally assist with minor janitorial, power washing and building maintenance duties.

3. Assist with planting and maintaining trees, shrubs and flowers and preparing for any special events.

4. Immediately reports any deficiencies discovered with the grounds, buildings and/or equipment to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.

5. Contributes to the team effort by recommending improved processes.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Shop environment where continuously exposed to several elements such as, noise, intermittent standing, walking; and occasional pushing, carrying, or lifting. Also may have exposure at times to the outside weather elements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Prefer Highschool or GED PLUS two years’ experience in grounds maintenance, including experience with small engines and lawn equipment.
